Some people also first flip the wand over and rotate the wand clockwise with the clip site to pull out the negative energy and then they flip the wand over and continue to rotate with the pointed side, which I am told puts the positive energy in.

I have also been told that intention is also very powerful.  When you wand you can say to yourself that each complete rotation is equivalent to 10 or 100 or even 1000 complete rotations. I have personally intended each complete rotation to be equivalent to 1000 rotations and I have wanded my face many times. The person who is being wanded should keep their eyes closed, this keeps energy in the body, as energy leaks out through the eyes and you can concentrate better with your eyes closed ...we want you to engage your body's own divine ability to affect change...it is your body that does all of the changing back to homeostasis ...the wand is simply a reminder switch to remind your body that it came from source.
